Position : DRUPAL DEVELOPER
The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a web application projects from the development phase to the final product or in some cases for creating or customizing Drupal modules to integrate with other applications.
Experience :At least 2+ years of related work experience in Drupal and 1+ in other frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with a team (designers, project manager, and other developers) to create compelling and
cutting edge web sites and web applications.
- Responsible for turning design and user interface mockups into functional web sites.
- Custom programming and web application development.
- Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing client sites.
- General assistance as required
Requirements & Qualifications
- Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must.
- Expertise in Dynamic/Database Driven Development (PHP/MySQL) with sound JavaScript,
especially AJAX experience.
- Experience in working in Linux environments is a must.
Must be able to handle a face paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others.
Experience providing technical support for Open Source applications preferred.
- Strong consideration given candidates in the Bangalore & Chennai area.
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, or other related technical field is required
Preferred skills for this role include Technical:
- Significant experience with Drupal API, themes and assets.
Proficient with hand-coding HTML and table-less CSS.
- Advanced knowledge and implementation of W3C Web Standards
- Familiar with Zend Framework, preferably Zend certification
- Must have involved in at least one enterprise project involving high-volume access and/or data
- Administration and troubleshooting experience in commercial Unix and Windows server
environments strongly preferred.
